Skyplex is coming to Orlando – Are you ready?

World’s tallest Roller Coaster coming to Orlando

The entertainment offerings at Skyplex Orlando continue to grow as the project’s developers released details about another thrill ride coming to the International Drive complex.

Sky Jump joins a lineup of rides like the Skyscraper roller coaster, SkyFall, a 450-foot drop ride, and SkyLedge, where guests wear a harness and walk around the edge of the complex’s massive tower.

With Sky Jump, guests will free-fall dive about 500 feet from the top of the tower, according to developer Josh Wallack.

“The attractions for Skyplex are some of the most innovating in the world,” Wallack said in a news release. “The world’s tallest roller coaster, the world’s tallest drop ride and now we’re launching an experience that feels like you are flying.”

Wallack acquired rights for the experience, which also operates at the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. The Stratosphere experience reaches top speeds of 40 mph as guests descend 829 feet. A similar experience is offered at Sky Tower in Auckland, New Zealand.

The development, originally expected to cost $500 million, also includes a proposed zip line, a surf park, retail outlets and a 450-room hotel.
